Energy Assessors wanting to extend the services they offer to their clients thereby differentiating themselves from less competent assessors

The emphasis on this short one day course will be on carrying our summer overheating calculations for building control.

Fulfil the increasing demands from Building Control for as designed asset ratings and summer over heating calculations by modelling the building just once all within the DesignBuilder software package

Attendees should have previous experience of DesignBuilder such as attendance at the two day DesignBuilder SBEM course.

Course content

• Converting from DesignBuilder SBEM to DesignBuilder simulation tools – data that is common to both – additional data required for simulation
  
• Model options – setting up the calculation
  
• Calculation options – heating design/cooling design
  
• Summer overheating – specifying:
       Gains
       Heating & cooling schedules
       Ventilation, scheduled and calculated
       Shading
• Output options
• Producing reports
• Exporting files, data etc  

Candidates will need to bring a laptop loaded with DesignBuilder to the course.

Trainees who have not previously purchased licences will receive free 60 day training licences for the SBEM, Visualisation and EnergyPlus simulation software

The cost of the course is £250 + VAT.
