CPD seminars can be arranged to suit most requirements ranging from a one hour RIBA approved seminar to a half day introduction to DesignBuilder. The CPD events can be arranged in collaboration with professional bodies such as RIBA and CIBSE or through accreditation schemes. DesignBuilder is a member of the RIBA CPD Providers Network.
CPD seminars can be combined with a multi-choice test to assess the competence of attendees to use DesignBuilder. Those passing the test are accepted by accreditation schemes as competent to lodge EPCs using DesignBuilder. This has proved popular with Energy Assessors as it allows them to convert to lodging EPCs with DesignBuilder at minimum or no cost. DesignBuilder provides a free 60-day licence to attendees that can be used to lodge EPCs.
RIBA approved CPD seminar
Our one hour seminar "Sustainable Low Carbon Approach to Building Design - Compliance with new emission targets" has been assessed and approved by RIBA. This seminar explains the building carbon emission targets set by building regulations and shows how DesignBuilder software can be used to assess design decisions and show compliance with the Building Regulations.
