Which operating systems does DesignBuilder support?
Solution

DesignBuilder runs on the following operating systems:

  • Windows 7,
  • Windows Vista,
  • Windows XP SP2 and
  • Windows 2000.

Windows 95, 98, ME, NT are not supported.

Windows Vista and Windows 7
The only issue users encounter with Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems is that DesignBuilder screens do not always refresh corrrectly unless Windows XP SP2 compatibility has been set. To do this
right click on the DesignBuilder icon from the start menu and select "Properties". Then click on the Compatibility tab and check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select Windows XP SP2 if it is not already set. Also check the 'Disable desktop composition' to switch off the 'Aero' interface effect.

Macs

DesignBuilder runs well on Intel-based Macs using recent VMWare Fusion virtual machines and under Parallels or under Boot Camp.
